Cookie policy

How Sellarix Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies, the cookies we set, and how to control them, under PECR and the UK GDPR.

Last updated 9 June 2026

This cookie policy explains how Sellarix Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on sellarix.ai (the "website"), what they do, and the choices you have. We use them in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR. Read this policy together with our Privacy policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit. They let the site work, remember your choices, keep you signed in, and help the site owner understand how the site is used. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; cookies set by another organisation are called third-party cookies.

Other technologies we treat as cookies

We also use technologies that work like cookies, and we refer to them all as cookies in this policy:

  • Local storage and session storage: store small amounts of data in your browser, for example your preferences. We use local storage to remember your chosen language (see Preference storage below).
  • Pixels and web beacons: tiny images or snippets that record that a page or email was opened.
  • Software development kits (SDKs) and tags: code from us or our providers that helps measure and run the website.

Session and persistent cookies

Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. The expiry of each cookie we use is shown in the tables below.

Why we use cookies

We use cookies to: make the website work and keep it secure; remember your preferences such as language; understand how the website is used so we can improve it; and, where you allow it, measure the performance of our marketing. We only use non-essential cookies with your consent.

The categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for the website and any signed-in experience to function, for example security, load balancing and remembering your cookie choices. These do not require consent.
  • Preference (functional) cookies: remember choices you make, such as your language or region, to give you a better experience.
  • Analytics (performance) cookies: help us measure and improve how the website performs, for example which pages are visited. Set only with your consent.
  • Marketing (advertising) cookies: where used, help us measure and improve our campaigns. Set only with your consent.

Preference storage

We remember the language you choose so the site shows in that language on your next visit. This is stored in your browser's local storage as `sellarix_lang`, not in a cookie. It is set only when you change language, stays on your device until you clear it, is first-party, and is never used to track you. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics cookies

We set analytics cookies only if you accept analytics in our cookie banner. When you do, we use Google Analytics 4, configured with IP anonymisation, and we have not enabled Google advertising features. Google acts as our processor for this purpose.

Marketing cookies

We do not currently set marketing or advertising cookies on this website. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any are set.

When you first visit, we show a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the site cannot work without them. For analytics and marketing cookies we ask for your consent, and we do not load those tags before you give it. You can accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category. We keep a record of your choice and ask again after a period, or sooner if our cookies change.

You can change your choices at any time using the cookie controls on the website (for example a "Cookie settings" link), or by clearing the sellarix_consent cookie. Changing your choice takes effect from that point onwards.

How to control cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored and delete them, block cookies from some or all sites, or warn you before a cookie is stored. Doing this may stop parts of the website working. Instructions for common browsers are here:

Controlling cookies on mobile devices

Your phone or tablet has settings to manage cookies and advertising identifiers in its browser and operating system (for example under privacy or tracking settings on iOS and Android). See your device maker's guidance for details.

Opting out of Google Analytics

As well as our cookie controls, you can install Google's official browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics across all sites: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. There is no agreed industry standard for DNT, but because we set non-essential cookies only with your opt-in consent, we do not track you for analytics or marketing unless you choose to allow it.

What happens if you disable cookies

If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website, including any signed-in features, may not work. If you reject analytics or marketing cookies, the website still works fully; we simply collect less information about how it is used.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services to us, such as our analytics provider. Those providers process data under their own privacy policies and under our contracts with them. We list the third-party cookies we use in the tables above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy as our use of cookies changes. The current version is dated 9 June 2026. Where we add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent again.
